First Lemonade Stand...
Well, the kids were very excited to have their first lemonade stand of the season, so we gathered all the necessaries and set it up on the curb. After numerous attempts to keep everything upright, including putting 5 bricks on the easel, and 4 cups of lemonade sold we had to call it off due to the wind. How, I wonder, can something that God created be SO incredibly frustrating!!! Oh well, there will be plenty more to help in the cost of replacing all of our broken equipment!

89er Day!

The kids had 89er Day at school this week where they were to dress up in cowboy or prairie attire and they acted out the 1889 Oklahoma Land Run. We have costumes coming out our ears in this house but we do not have any cowboy stuff!! So we borrowed a couple of bandannas from our neighbor and they were happy with that. They said they had fun and they each got a certificate of the land that they claimed. (Just another event to remind us of where we are!!)

They are SOOOO Cute!
Here is how our garden is growing!! We have some stuff that is really taking off; peas, beans, watermelon, spinach, and then we have had to say goodbye to some that weren't happy in our garden. Yesterday we bought worms to put in the soil. Yes, we named each one and wished it happy digging and let it know we would check on them every day and give them water. In the voice of our sweet 3 year old, "mama, they are SOOOOO cute!"

Creation Station
Samuel has a little quiet time most days as he doesn't really need a nap anymore and he can come out of his room with some really fun creations sometimes. Most of the time we find the creations as we clean his room or just go in and sneak around. Yesterday before tackling his room I found these little post its on his desk that he had created:
She is growing!!
They listen...
So I really wanted to get a shower before the day was over and Samuel was occupied with basketball/shooting hoops so I just had to get Merideth occupied. (I know I only have two, for those of you who have more...) So she really wanted me to push her on the swings so I told her to put shoes and socks on and I would be out there soon. I am not sure the actual length of time I was getting ready but when I was finally decent enough to go outside I went to check on her and there she was sweetly sitting in the swing fully dressed and talking to her "friends" she had brought with her. I thought she looked so sweet so I had to take this picture. It also reminded me that my children do listen to me, especially when I have promised to do something with them. And what would she have done had I never come out to push her on the swing?
Spring Programs
Samuel and Merideth had their Spring Programs at school last week. They both were very excited to sing and perform. It is such a blessing to hear little ones sing about Jesus and when it is your own it means so much. Here are a couple of videos of snip its of their performances, enjoy!

Easter Fun!
We had a busy and fun Easter weekend! Grandma Paula, Danica, and Robert came up from Dallas on Friday, then Art, Robert's dad came up on Saturday. They helped haul dirt and soil and filled in our garden and some space in the front yard that need filling in...huge help!!! Thank you thank you! Sunday, Easter, we had a house full of wonderful people for Easter lunch then we all headed to the Thunder game for some fun there. It was a great day/weekend and this year the kids were very aware of the answer to the question, "What's the good news?" "Jesus Is Alive!"
