Will we stay, will we go?

It is always interesting to see what the paper says in regards to what is going on with the Sonics. Here is the article today: http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=soni29&date=20080229&query=sonics
We go for a while not thinking about moving at all, then read something like this and think maybe we should be making a trip to OK City to check out neighborhoods! Meanwhile we enjoy Seattle and our friends here.

Thyroid Cancer

"Most thyroid cancers are very curable. In fact, the most common types of thyroid cancer (papillary and follicular) are the most curable." (WebMD)

Beth, Erin's cousin, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is undergoing surgery this Friday to remove both lobes of her thyroid. After the surgery she will then have radiation therapy until they are sure it is all gone. We are encouraged by research on thyroid cancer and the well known facts that it is quite curable in most cases. We are also encouraged by Beth's amazingly positive attitude! Beth, you are in our prayers during this time and we look forward to a reunion of some sort very soon!

Spring Tease!

We have had such amazing weather the past few days; clear, sunny, warm, perfect for being outside! And the days are starting to get a bit longer. It feels good knowing spring is on its way!

Perfect day for flying a kite!

We got sun on Sunday!! It is amazing how much one appreciates the sun when it doesn't come out much during Seattle's winter. Sunday was a beautiful day and the perfect kind of day to fly our kite.
I was a bit worried that the wind would take Samuel away!

They were cold, but nothing can stop Merideth from her "nasks" (snacks)!

Back at home, warm and cozy with Cory!

Disney Live!

We took the kids to Disney Live on Saturday where they both had a lot of fun watching some of their favorite characters dance. Marc learned a good lesson of NOT telling the kids where we are going until he is sure we have tickets. One ticket window was sold out and he broke the news to Samuel who did not take it very graciously. Then fortunately another ticket window did have tickets. Marc would have paid ANYTHING to get in to see Mickey!!

Smashed Finger

We spent a couple of hours this morning in the ER after Merideth's left index finger was smashed in the bathroom door. I am not sure why kiddos like to close doors on each other, but I have seen it done many a times and cringe waiting for the wail to follow the slam of the door. Thankfully it rarely happens...today it happened. No broken bones and no stitches! Merideth walked away with a large Bugs Bunny band aide and a new duck beanie baby. She was a trooper, but even the mention of her finger or changing a band aide sends her over the top!

"Owie" was what she told the doctors and nurses.

Recounting the experience with daddy.
