The start of the drive. The kids got new desks that were great for coloring and for eating. That was some good excitement that lasted an hour or so.
My children will not sleep in the car no matter how tired they are!!!
Their first nap "together". Samuel has been asking for a long time if Merideth can sleep with him, I finally gave in in order for them to nap!!
Merideth wanted to find Teddy Bears in the forest, but there weren't any. She did find some in Grandma's house though.
Samuel finished one of his maze books and got this blue ribbon that he got to wear to bed. "I love you"
Playing at the park on a sunny cold morning.
Cleaning up the "sharp" rocks at the park.
Samuel posing with the rock pile that they made.
Merideth took great care of the Welcome bear.
Danica pointing out cactus on one of our hikes by Roger's house.
Fun with Danica!
Roasting marshmallows.
What's in the bucket? We stopped at the Northern Hemisphere's largest cross. They also had Jesus's journey with the cross up to his Crucifixion. We didn't stay for too long, it didn't seem appropriate to let the kids run around there...they could use a playground. Kidding aside, it was very well done and humbling to see a life size Jesus holding that huge heavy cross.
