Our babies came to visit!!!

Not really OUR babies but we like to pretend! Danica, Dylan, and Tanner came up for Samuel's birthday. It is always fun to have them here and spend sweet time with them.

He is 7!!!

Samuel turned the BIG 7 last week!!!! What an amazing 7 year old he is. Marc and I are so blessed to have him as our son, we are super proud, he is the best! On his birthday Marc was the watch dog at Samuel's school, that is a dad who helps out anywhere he is needed. We celebrated at a local Mexican food restaurant then came home and opened presents. For his birthday party we had it at the trampoline park along with a magic show. It was a lot of fun and Samuel felt "very blessed" by the fun and very generous gifts. It was another great birthday celebration!

Another long break from our blog!!!

I am not sure what it is about this year, but I/we have been really behind on updating our blog! I downloaded that pictures from our camera and there really were not many to download so I think we need to step it up in the picture taking area as well! We are enjoying life and enjoying a good balance of activity and time together.



Samuel is reading like crazy! It is super fun to see! He read the most minutes in the last month out of his class which puts him in the running against the other 6 1st grade classes. His favorites right now are the Magic Tree House books and the Bible.

Elevation is coming along. There are still high hopes to have it ready enough to celebrate Samuel's 7th birthday there this week!

"I welcomed Jesus into my heart last night!"

We have wonderful news!!!!  Samuel asked Jesus into his heart last night after admitting that he is a sinner and stating he believes that Jesus is the son of God who died for our sins and committing his life to following Jesus and striving to live like he did...It is hard to put into words what this feels like for parents but it is a huge answer to a prayer we have been praying since Samuel was born!  What a beautiful and wonderful time, thank you God! 

Elevation Trampoline Park

Marc/we decided to take a leap of faith and open an indoor trampoline park here in OKC.  Marc has been researching it for almost two years now and we feel that it will be a great addition to what there is to do here in OKC.  The name is Elevation Trampoline Park and it was initially set to be open Sept 1st...everything takes longer than you expect.  The current date is somewhere around Nov 1st.  We are hoping to have Samuel's birthday party there in mid October although it may not be completely finished.  We are very excited for this to be a blessing to our family and those who get to enjoy it.  Marc is very much in his element of business and is having fun in the midst of the stress of starting a new business.  Check it out: elevationtp.com

Heading Into Fall!

As we head into fall we feel like we haven't updated our blog nearly enough!  Sorry to those who do check us out every once in a while.  We have been having fun getting used to all day school for Samuel and 3 days a week for Merideth.  We feel very blessed by both of their teachers, it has been a great year so far. 

Samuel is playing baseball again this fall with a great team!  It is machine pitch with the ball coming at him at 42 miles per hour!!

We enjoyed Disney on Ice with Grandma Taylor at the OK State Fair.

Disney on Ice was Toy Story 3 this year and Grandma was sweet to buy the kids some cotton candy that came with the alien hat, too cute!

We enjoyed the State Fair with our good friends, the Smiths, one evening and got to see Sanctus Real in concert.  Mason and Merideth are a crazy pair of 5 year olds.  They love to be together and share a lot of the same passions.

A new creation is "The Magic Tree House Club".  Samuel and Merideth have filled up the bottom of the swing set with all kinds of goodies to play with and read.  They love to hang out in there, eat in there, and would love to be able to spend the night in there...

Great Labor Day Weekend!

We were lucky enough to have family in town for Labor Day which made it a super fun weekend!  Uncle Denny came into town from CO and the Whitlocks made the treck from Dallas.  It ended up being an extremely beautiful weekend so it was great to be outside and enjoy each other!
