Our new home!

Well, we did it, we made our offer and after numerous counter offers from both sides the seller/builder accepted! We hope to close within two weeks and we all can't wait to move in. We will be heading back to Robert and Danica's tomorrow as our lease runs out at the apartment. It feels great to have this done. Marc says that this is the first purchase of a home that he isn't feeling completely overwhelmed with. You all now officially have a home to stay in when you come to visit!! Thank you for your prayers and encouraging words!

Decisions Decisions

We are in the midst of trying to decide between two houses here in OKC. We have been surprised at the homes here, our realtor has too. They have the most homes on the market than they have had in years but just not the right one for us. Our hope was to find a house to fit or come close to fitting our family and one that we could sell with ease in a couple of years if needed. One of the houses we found is pretty close to perfect for our family but a bit overpriced for the market here and the other one is a decent price but not quite so perfect as far as layout and number of rooms. We are sitting on things today and plan to make an offer tomorrow. We have been asking for prayer and praying that God would guide our decision.

"Final lesson. “filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.” Pray in utter reliance upon Jesus. For only when the branch cleaves to the vine will the fruit grow. Only when we are clinging to Christ, will his life giving Spirit flow through us to produce the fruit of peace, love, joy, self-control, patience. This fruit will bring glory and praise to the Father. This is how to pray through to a good decision."
This is from our pastor's sermon last week on Paul's example of how to pray through a decision. Thank you Pastor James!

OKC Adventure #4

Our 3rd trip up to OKC today and we forgot MORE keys! This time the keys are missing at this point, so a bit more than forgetting. Marc's wonderful assistant drove one of our cars and boat to OKC last week and left the car at the airport until we got back into town. Our plan today was to drive up and pick the car up from the airport...the kids and I left Marc at the airport waiting for a locksmith to open the car to get the keys that were left inside the car. We made it, we are healthy, we are happy, what else do we really need?

Our home is on the market!

Our house went on the market today; http://windermere.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Listing.ListingDetail&ListingID=34211487

It was such a great house for us, we will miss it and everthing/everyone who was around it! (Tears are streaming.)

Good times down here!

Lots of fun being had down south! Here are a few pics of our last couple of weeks in Dallas and OKC. Tons of fun in Robert and Danica's pool!
Break for snack. Samuel and Merideth have really starting sticking together. They each try to find something the other wants to do. It is fun to watch.
A good game of Sorry with Grandma Paula.
Counting before they go find daddy..."Ready or not, here we come!"
Samuel, Grandma, Merideth, and Roger before going into church.

Silly faces, silly times.

"I'm 2!"

Samuel loves to jump off the diving board. Marc is there to catch him, you just can't see him in this picture.

Awww, so relaxing!

A fun game of rockets in our OKC apartment.

Hello, are you there Merideth?

Our first trip to the Dallas Zoo.

I love it!!!

"Yee haw!"

Pretty in cherries!

Pictures!!!

Hurray, we finally got some pictures off our camera onto our blog! These are from our last few days in Seattle. Merideth and Leah enjoying a morning at the park.

Samuel and Kailas enjoying some afternoon treats!

Silliness before we run out in the rain to catch the water taxi to downtown for dinner.

Marc and Merideth saying goodbye to Seattle from the water taxi.

There is no better way to spend our last morning in Seattle than with Starbucks on the beach!

A bit sad that everything is in boxes.

The truck that will house and haul our stuff.

OKC Adventure #3

On our second trip up to OKC Danica was able to join us for some house hunting and Oklahoma City exploring. It started out as a perfect scenario, I picked Marc up from the airport while Danica stayed with the kids who were supposed to be napping. Then we all jumped in the car and heading up to OK by mid afternoon. We got to the apartment that we are subleasing from a friend and no one had a key to get in. We had taken a key back with us to Dallas after our last visit so we could easily let ourselves in on this visit...it was forgotten. After we realized we had no key we loaded the car back up with our gear and our overtired children and headed across town to our friend who fortunately had a key. Danica WAS able to see a part of OKC that we chose to take off our list and we DID get to see our friends new house, so not a complete loss.
