One week down

Well, we are one week down in our first year of school!!! Samuel is really enjoying it, is excited about homework, likes to share about new friends, loves to ride the bus, and seems very content after the first week. Yes, he is riding the bus. Yes, I (Erin), want to follow it every day to make sure he gets to the right spot at the right time. He is so excited to see friends on the bus and go for a little ride before school. It just means to us that he is truly growing up, why does that have to happen?!

At the bus stop, just three houses down from us, Samuel ready to go, us still in our pjs.

There he goes!

After going over bus rules mom says, "Samuel, if any thing happens on the bus that you want or need to tell us please do." Samuel responds, "mom, I don't have a phone!" I don't think it was a push for a phone but maybe a good start.

Thank you Papa and Maudy!!

Thank you Papa and Maudy for thinking of us as you biked around Paris! We love what you sent and look forward to putting together the Eiffel Tower with Papa in CO next weekend!

Super Fun with Becca and Cory!

Becca and Cory got to come visit us!! The pictures below tell it all...from sun up to sun down Samuel and Merideth were in heaven as they played with Becca and Cory. Thanks for taking a couple of weeks out of your summer vacation to visit us!!!

Can't wait to see you again, just hope it is soon!!

A Big Big Blessing!

We just wanted to be sure everyone knew about one of our many blessings this summer! Marc's parents were with us for about 10 weeks while Larry had a cardiac valve replacement. We had high hopes to visit them at their home in Nigeria this summer but determined it would not work for us. Then, SURPRISE, we got to spend the summer with them here! We were all blessed by their presence here. We are so grateful that Samuel and Merideth got to spend much more time than if we had gone to them, priceless time that could never be duplicated. From the tea parties and doll playing to birthday cakes for both of the kids to taking them to our favorite spots, it was a very blessed summer with them.

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for all you did and all you gave, 2010 will be a summer to remember!

Dylan and Tanner are home!

This news is now over two weeks old...Dylan and Tanner are home together!!! They will be 6 weeks old on Tuesday, time flies by SO fast! They all have been doing great and Danica starts solo tomorrow, so please send prayers their way!

We can't wait to see and hold them again!!

First Days of School!

Samuel and Merideth had their first days of school this week! Both were super excited and really couldn't quite wait to leave the mornings of their first days. Merideth started Wednesday, her second year of Preschool. And Samuel started Thursday in Kindergarten!!!

Can you see the excitement?! Waiting at the door to leave!!
She found her name in the hallway without any issues at all and was so pleased that we got the snack bucket first!!
And here is the handsome Kindergartener!!! Samuel started at a new school, mom is a bit more nervous than him!
Out in front of the school. Potentially the last time he will stop to take a picture for mom on the first day of school?!
Waiting patiently with his class for his teacher. He recognized two friends in line!

Lots of Baby Love!

Merideth and Erin get to spend some more time in Dallas with Dylan at home and short visits with Tanner at the hospital. Merideth was very excited to help take care of Dylan, "Mommy, you take care of the house and Danica, and I will take care of Dylan."

We drove into Dallas late and got to give Dylan his 11pm bottle!

Tanner is very close to coming home, almost up to his 8 feedings per day!

Dylan just hangin' out in the Dallas summer, it is hot!

Merideth even got to help/supervise a bath!
