Samuel's Baptism

Samuel has been wanting to be baptized since Septemeber when he asked Jesus into his heart...dad and mom got over their need to make it happen how they thought it should happen and he was baptized yesterday and he loved it!

Since it was a holiday weekend, we had a private ceremony in the chapel of our church. We had family in town, which is one of the reasons we chose this weekend, and friends came to celebrate too.

It was a great experience for Samuel!

Samuel's good friends who came to see him baptized.

Pastor Micheal Milligan performed the baptism.

Uncle Denny, Aunt Danica, Uncle Robert, Dylan and Tanner got to come!!

It is pretty awesome that Uncle Denny got to share in the morning. Thanks for being with us Denny!

Grandpa and Grandma Taylor bought a pretty cake that Samuel shared with all his friends, thank you!

Pumpkin Doughnuts Anyone?!

Art Class

Merideth is taking an art class through our church and loves it! She could really go and create something every day, it is fun to see. Here are her first two creations; on in primary colors and the other in cool and warm colors.

Our babies came to visit!!!

Not really OUR babies but we like to pretend! Danica, Dylan, and Tanner came up for Samuel's birthday. It is always fun to have them here and spend sweet time with them.

Sweet babies and their sweet mama!

He is 7!!!

Samuel turned the BIG 7 last week!!!! What an amazing 7 year old he is. Marc and I are so blessed to have him as our son, we are super proud, he is the best! On his birthday Marc was the watch dog at Samuel's school, that is a dad who helps out anywhere he is needed. We celebrated at a local Mexican food restaurant then came home and opened presents. For his birthday party we had it at the trampoline park along with a magic show. It was a lot of fun and Samuel felt "very blessed" by the fun and very generous gifts. It was another great birthday celebration!

Another long break from our blog!!!

I am not sure what it is about this year, but I/we have been really behind on updating our blog! I downloaded that pictures from our camera and there really were not many to download so I think we need to step it up in the picture taking area as well! We are enjoying life and enjoying a good balance of activity and time together.

Samuel is reading like crazy! It is super fun to see! He read the most minutes in the last month out of his class which puts him in the running against the other 6 1st grade classes. His favorites right now are the Magic Tree House books and the Bible.

Merideth showing off one of hers/our creations; a scarf made out of socks!

Elevation is coming along. There are still high hopes to have it ready enough to celebrate Samuel's 7th birthday there this week!

"I welcomed Jesus into my heart last night!"

We have wonderful news!!!!  Samuel asked Jesus into his heart last night after admitting that he is a sinner and stating he believes that Jesus is the son of God who died for our sins and committing his life to following Jesus and striving to live like he did...It is hard to put into words what this feels like for parents but it is a huge answer to a prayer we have been praying since Samuel was born!  What a beautiful and wonderful time, thank you God!
